A2LA Accreditation – Precision, Accuracy & Repeatability of Results

Quality is a core value at Percept, and in August 2005, Percept passed the rigorous on-site laboratory assessment and evaluation of all testing and quality processes to receive the A2LA (American Association for Laboratory Accreditation) accreditation for technical competence in the field of electrical testing. A2LA, a leading, independent laboratory accreditation society, bases its accreditation on internationally accepted criteria for competence of testing and calibration laboratories – ISO 17025. The equivalent of ISO 9000 for test labs, ISO 17025 is a stringent standard that insures precision, accuracy and repeatability of results. While Certification to ISO 9000 alone does not demonstrate the competence of a lab to produce technically valid data and results, certification to ISO 17025 does.

Clients depend on Percept’s proven testing methodologies and practices, and this accreditation further strengthens our offering of unbiased, accurate testing and repeatable results. For more details about Percept’s A2LA Accreditation, click here.

Percept - Established, Proven, Accredited Expertise
Outsourcing product testing allows technology firms to focus on their core competencies and leverage the expertise and proven methodologies of independent testing professionals. A reliable test lab can fully test and prove product performance and provide accurate and unbiased data. Also, by operating 24/7 and using acceleration factors, the testing timeline can be shortened without sacrificing quality results.

Once you have decided to outsource a testing project, choosing the right partner is an important decision. You want to select a reputable lab that has an established business and proven success with its clients.

What to Look for in a Test Lab:

  • Longevity – how long has the lab been doing business? Many labs come and go over the years. You should have the confidence that the testing partners you choose will be dependable and available for your current and future testing needs.
  • Expertise – a lab is only as good as the quality of its staff. Look for proven experience and expertise as well as outside accreditation where applicable.
  • Facilities – The lab you choose should bewell equipped and well run. Quality equipment, methodologies, procedures, and professionalism are all important considerations.
  • Client Satisfaction – perhaps most important criteria to examine is how satisfied the lab’s clients are. Strong technical expertise and a commitment to excellence in communications and service are key factors to project success and customer satisfaction.
