Percept Technology Labs Hires Marty Best to Serve as President
Seasoned Technology Executive to Lead Independent Test Company

Boulder, CO, – November 4, 2008 – Percept Technology Labs (www.percept.com), an established, independent product test and consulting firm, today announced that Marty Best has been hired to serve as the company’s president.  Founded in 1996, Percept specializes in technology products – providing complete test services and expertise for today’s most complex offerings.

Before joining Percept, Marty served in executive positions at several area technology companies including Mentor Interactive, a Boulder-based educational software firm, where he was responsible for negotiating and managing key license agreements and grants, and facilitating the upgrade of research software to production-grade product.  Before that, as CEO of Boulder Nonlinear Systems, a manufacturer of high-speed liquid crystal components used in a range of high tech applications, Marty was instrumental in building a highly effective sales and marketing organization, increasing commercial sales revenue by 280% in just three years, and improving the firm’s manufacturing processes to achieve a 50% decrease in costs and reduction of product lead times by a factor of three. 

Marty holds a Masters of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Utah, Salt Lake City, UT, and a Bachelor of Science with Honors in Electrical Engineering from the University of Notre Dame, South Bend, IN.
